This is exciting news for us. Crossing with the Virgin: Stories from the Migrant Trail, the book I co-authored  with Norma Price and Ted Parks, won a couple of awards this week. It won the gold medal in the Current  Events/Social Issues category of the Independent Publishers Book Awards ( a national competition), and First  Place in the Multicultural category of the Arizona Book Awards. Anis Shivani of the Hufifngton Post named it  one of the best social and political awareness books of 2010. Thank you for the awards.
